We are currently recruiting for a permanent legal secretary to work for my client who are a gloal law firm in Sydney CBD.
Duties will consist of:-

Provide high level support to partners and fee earners
Assists across the different practice groups as needed on specific tasks to develop specialist expertise.
Areas include: corporate, real estate, litigation, finance & projects as well as business development
Stakeholder engagement in building relationships with relevant partners and fee earners
Proactive approach to tasks and anticipating potential problems before they arise
Assisting fee earners with the organisation of meetings including preparation of agendas
Document production for the creation of all first draft documents
Completing financial reports where required, from internal systems highlighting outstanding monies
Billing and updating particular client financial schedules
Assisting on ad-hoc projects as and when required
Creating new client matter files, closing and archiving
Any other secretarial or administrative duties as required including filing and photocopying


Requirements:

Minimum 3 - 4 years experience as a Legal Assistant or secretary
Previous experience of document management systems
Experience of billing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
Excellent diary management
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Applies knowledge and judgement to solve problems and make decisions
Flexible approach to working practices in order to meet business needs
Friendly, personable and approachable
Eager to learn and develop skills
