Key Responsibilities:
• Consult and Advise: Engage with clients to recommend hairstyles and haircare techniques, providing tailored advice based on their individual preferences and hair conditions.
• Hair Treatment Execution: Perform a variety of hair treatments including shampooing, conditioning, colouring, chemical straightening, and waving to enhance client satisfaction.
• Creative Hair Styling: Utilise tools such as scissors, clippers, and razors to design and execute haircuts and styles ranging from traditional to modern looks including braids, dreadlocks, and hair extensions.
• Facial Grooming: Offer beard and moustache trimming and styling services, catering to a full range of client needs.
• Salon Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sanitising all instruments and ensuring the salon area is presentable at all times.
• Administrative Duties: Manage appointments efficiently, handle client transactions, and ensure smooth operations within the salon.
• Product and Accessory Management: May involve styling, colouring, and maintaining wigs and hairpieces, expanding client options for different looks.
Work Hours:
This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours of work per week.
Salary:
Our successful applicant will receive a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
• Applicants should hold an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in hairdressing is required.
