Our client in Victoria is looking for someone to conduct and coordinate engineering activities and ensure effective handover of the project to routine operations beginning of 2026. The focus of this role will be to act as the Operational Readiness representative for the Maintenance and Utilities department and conduct engineering and maintenance services to support project delivery of the production areas (Bulk Process and Fill/Finish).
Skills and Qualifications:
• Act as Engineering Plant owner during project throughout key stages of Design, Procurement, FAT, Installation, Commissioning, SAT, Qualification and Handover.
• Develop and provide equipment reliability and process engineering expertise for the project including FMEA, creation of maintenance plans and spare parts assessments.
• Ensure that all engineering tasks related to Operational Readiness are completed in a timely manner to allow smooth transition through completion of qualification, validation, PPQ batches and onward to routine production.
• To investigate, develop and implement solutions to engineering problems related to new manufacturing equipment and systems.
• To develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within the engineering field.
• To liaise with external Vendors/Consultants and internal Engineering, Production and Quality colleagues to achieve project objectives
Act as Engineering Plant Owner, establish and provide Subject Matter Expertise for the project’s production equipment (Bulk Process & Fill/Finish) and support project delivery through the following:
• Review design specification documents (P&IDs, flow paths, specifications)
• Review differences between existing BACE I and new BACE II plants
• Review 3D models
• Lead Device (Instrumentation) and Criticality Assessments
• Provide input for maintenance procedures (i.e. access to equipment for job tasks)
• Liaise with the data entry team to coordinate asset creation in SAP
• Lead maintenance FMEA
• Liaise with maintenance teams and planning departments to develop Preventative Maintenance plans (PMs).
• Develop mechanical and E&I spare part requirements
• Review and participate in FAT’s
• Participate in safety assessments (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA)
• Support installation, commissioning and qualification activities to facilitate knowledge transfer from the project to operations
• Organise and/or manage staff/contractors to perform work as required.
• Raise and implement Process Change Requests and Deviations/CAPAs where appropriate.
• Liaise with external Vendors/Consultants and internal Engineering, Production and Quality groups to ensure project objectives of Safety, Quality, Schedule, Scope and Cost are achieved.
• Develop and implement the long-term technical master plan for the area to ensure effective lifecycle management of the equipment and provision of critical spare parts.
• Develop and maintain technical and operating documentation, and conduct training activities, as required.
The successful candidate must have relevant experience in a similar role and a relevant bachelor degree is preferred.
