The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant (General) to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client service. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to continual learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
2. Tax Compliance and Filing: Prepare and file various tax returns (income tax, GST, payroll tax) accurately and on time. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
3. Transaction Recording: Record financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and payslips in accounting software. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial activities.
4. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process.
5. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Contribute to financial planning initiatives like capital budgeting, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making to support organizational goals.
6. Client and Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and regulators. Address inquiries and resolve issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
7. Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in the accounting and finance sectors.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an accounting role.
3. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
4. Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
5. Personal Attributes: Proactive, reliable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
