Our esteemed client, Bantu Recruitment Agency, is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join their team on a full-time basis. Bantu Recruitment Agency is an African-Australian owned recruitment agency, boasting affiliation with Indigenous labour hire.

Responsibilities include:
· Reviewing technical drawings and specifications to identify appropriate materials, methods, and operational sequences, as well as machine settings
· Fitting fabricated metal components into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to manufacture vehicle machinery and equipment
· Inspecting fabricated and assembled metal parts for precision, clearance, and compatibility using precision measuring tools
· Configuring guides, stops, and other controls on machining tools, arranging specified cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and adjusting controls for vehicle machinery
· Shaping metal stock and castings to precise tolerances using various machining tools such as presses, cutters, grinders, planers, borers, and drills
· Cutting, threading, bending, and fitting hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
· Welding and repairing structural components, frames, and chassis on heavy vehicles and machinery
· Developing mechanisms to regulate the operation of vehicle machinery utilised
· Identifying malfunctions and conducting routine maintenance on machines, as well as repairing mechanical components and equipment
· Assembling machines and equipment on-site if required
· Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed, to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations
Qualifications:
· Must have more than five (5) years of experience in a similar setting
· Must possess a relevant Trade Certificate
· No second language required
Salary: $98,000 plus per annum
