Rocks Farming Company is a family owned and operated business that grows 270,000 tonnes of sugar cane in the Burdekin Region, and we are currently looking for an experienced General Fitter to join our team.
Key Role
• servicing and repairing of vehicles, implements and general agricultural equipment
Responsibilities
• carry our servicing of of equipment
• carry out repairs to engines, transmissions and drive lines on various equipment
• take care of specialized tooling and workshop equipment
• enter daily records as requested
• take direction from your supervisor
Qualifications & Education Requirements
• current drivers licence
• relevent qualification in mechanical trade
• competent with heavy equipment
Preferred skills
• experience with air-conditioning systems
• experience with various hydraulics
• experience with John Deere and Komatsu equipment
Following a probation period, a work vehicle may be provided.
