Position: Forklift Driver/Operator
Location: Hightree Patrol, Regional New South Wales
About Us: Hightree Patrol is a trusted tree care services company in regional New South Wales, specialising in arboriculture, firewood production, and mulch distribution. We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver/Operator to efficiently manage the handling and movement of logs, firewood, and mulch within our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Forklifts for Tree Care Products Safely operate forklifts to handle logs, stacks of firewood, and bulk mulch, ensuring precise alignment and movement within our timber yard.
Efficient Material Handling: Transport logs, firewood, and mulch to designated areas within the yard, and assist with loading and unloading trucks for delivery or storage.
Organise and Store Materials: Ensure logs, firewood, and mulch are stored correctly, facilitating easy access for processing orders and maintaining an organised yard.
Monitor and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect forklifts to identify signs of wear, damage, or necessary adjustments, and perform minor repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition. Support Yard Operations: Assist with other tree care operations as needed, including moving equipment or materials related to arboriculture, firewood processing, and mulch production.
Skills & Experiences/Desired Qualifications:
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Proven experience in handling tree care materials such as logs, firewood, and mulch using forklifts.
• Familiarity with arboriculture and tree care industry practices.
• Ability to conduct minor maintenance and adjustments on forklifts.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to safety protocols.
• Experience operating specialised trucks or equipment in the tree care or related industry (preferred).
• Current ESI II in Vegetation Management
• EWP Operator Certificate
• Maintain chainsaws FWPCOT2254
• Trim and cut felled trees FWPCOT2256
• Familiar and Competent to operator stump grinder, chipper, wood splitter
Work Environment:
This role requires working outdoors in a tree care and timber yard environment, with exposure to various weather conditions. Physical strength and stamina are necessary for handling heavy materials.
Salary & Conditions:
- Salary: $26.50 - $37.50 per Gardening and Landscaping Services Award 2020 & Road Transport and Distribution Award 2020
- Employment Type: Full-time position with potential for overtime
