Job Description: Deliver high-quality primary health care services in accordance with best practice standards. Provide comprehensive care to patients across all age groups, backgrounds, and health needs. Address medical and health issues through history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referrals as needed. Manage long-term and chronic conditions following national guidelines and care pathways. Prescribe and administer medications, ensuring appropriate supervision of medication use. Offer health promotion and preventive care advice to all patients. Order and interpret diagnostic tests (such as radiology, pathology, and endoscopy), follow up on results, and adjust diagnoses and treatment plans as necessary. Refer patients to specialists, allied health practitioners, psychologists, or hospitals when required. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using established protocols and computerized medical systems, including details on specialist referrals, health history, prescriptions, investigations, treatments, and diagnostic results. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and coordinate shared care plans as required. Required Qualifications: MBBS or MD or equivalent FRACGP or FACRRM is a major plus (but not required). Required Registration: Registered (or eligible to register) with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner Required Work Experience: At least two years of recent experience as a General Practitioner.
