The role
As a Collections Specialist, you are pivotal in providing collections support to the business to deliver greater cash flow/reduce bad debts and align to the business's targets of reducing churn, risk and re-work. Working within an assigned portfolio, you will maintain the quality of actions on accounts in line with policies and procedures, industry codes of conduct, legislation, and other relevant laws.
Key responsibilities:
Manage your debt portfolio and make all efforts to collect outstanding debt in a timely manner
Negotiate payments and payment plans with customers
Prepare excellent notes on each customer interaction, recording every call and agreed follow-up actions
Make a high level of outbound calls
Be across all legislative requirements
Adhere to external regulatory and internal policy requirements and processes
Identify key risk accounts and seek to minimise any financial losses of the business
Key requirements:
Permanent resident or Australian citizenship
Minimum 2 years of collections experience
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and a team player
Solid negotiating skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation
Someone who is detail-oriented, will always have their notes in order and follow up with customers as agreed
