About the role
This position is based in Kalgoorlie WA. As an Accountant, you will report directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare Income Statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statements, and detailed notes
• Conduct internal audits
• Assess and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls
• Present financial documents to management
• Implement and manage accounting information systems
• Advise on the proper documentation and retention of financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory guidelines
• Implement procedures to maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Provide performance-based financial reporting, including company’s operational performance and financial health
• Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process
• Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year
• Implement cost management strategies specifically tailored to our home care services for elderly clients
• Implement and manage cost management strategies specifically tailored to our home care services for elderly clients.
• Assist with pricing strategies by conducting market analysis, evaluating service costs, and determining competitive pricing structures.
• Develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, analysing financial data to forecast revenues and expenses, and aligning financial goals with strategic objectives
• Assist management interpret data, identify trends, and recommend strategies to optimize resource allocation, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational goals
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Relevant Tertiary qualifications, ideally including both a Bachelor Degree and a Master Degree
• Minimum THREE year experience, with Australian experience preferred.
• Previous experience in the disability or aged care sector is highly regarded
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to financial challenges.
• Outstanding quality of work, attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy
