Hastings Deering is looking for a Workshop Leading Hand to join the Toowoomba branch. This position is best suited to new leaders or experienced tradespeople who wish to take that next step in their career.
As a Workshop Leading hand you will:
Provide active leadership to employees to improve safety, performance and deliver on customer expectations.
Ensure all team members are working towards No Harm, through Safety interactions and proactive hazard reporting.
Lead a team in execution of planned work as per work schedule.
Identify opportunities to increase customer value for money and assist quoting of variations to job scope.
Ensure adverse environment impacts are identified and sustainability measures implemented as per Company policies and procedures.
Ensure apprentices obtain every opportunity to achieve competencies in an acceptable timeframe via on-the-job training.
