Reports to : Master Butcher
Location : Wurrumiyanga, Bathurst Island, Northern Territory, Australia
Annual salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities
Meat Preparation: Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage meat inventory, ensuring freshness and quality. Manage the ordering of meat from suppliers.
Customer Service: Assist customers with their meat selections and provide expert advice on meat preparation and cooking.
Coordination: Work closely with the supermarket, café, and restaurant teams to ensure timely and accurate supply of meat products.
Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the butchery area, adhering to all health regulations.
Order Fulfillment: Process and fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately.
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with the initial processing and cutting procedures for various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.
Ability to operate and maintain sharp cutting tools and equipment
Understanding of safety procedures and precautions while handling sharp objects
Self-starter who is responsible and accountable
Good communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Education and Experience
hold at least a relevant AQF Certificate III (including 2 years of on-the-job training), or AQF Certificate IV obtained in Australia and 1 year of full-time work experience (or part-time-equivalent) or
hold relevant overseas qualification equivalent to at least an AQF Certificate III and 2 years of full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent).
