Job Title: Plumber

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled plumber to join our growing team who will play a crucial role in servicing and maintaining fire pump systems and wet fire services. This role specialises in perform regular testing, repairs, and upgrades to fire safety systems to ensure they meet compliance standards, working with a diverse client base, including Strata, Industrial, Residential, and Building Management Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, materials, and equipment required for the installation of water-based fire protection systems.

Plan, assemble, and install fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinklers, while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and emergency repairs on fire suppression systems to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to industry standards.

Fabricate and install piping systems for water supply, discharge, and waste, ensuring the reliable operation of fire protection systems.

Test, diagnose, and resolve issues in fire protection systems to maintain high safety standards and proper system operation.

Ensure all installations and repairs meet local regulations, safety standards, and building codes specific to fire protection systems.

Collaborate effectively with engineers, construction teams, and other trades to seamlessly integrate fire protection systems into building projects.

Keep accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs, providing comprehensive reports to clients and regulatory authorities when necessary.


Requirements:

Certificate III in Plumbing.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to fire protection systems.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a well-developed capacity for analysis and understanding of scientific and engineering principles.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals, tradespersons, clients, and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to obtain plumbing license

Salary Range- $70,000 to $100,000 per annum
