PJ & AM Morgan currently have 10 positions available for Bakers and Pastrycooks based in Bamaga, QLD with work starting late November 2024 onwards for a 4 year duration.
Our Baker and Pastry Cook positions are based in large commercial kitchens. Prior experience isn't necessary but it is advantageous. Your role will generally entail; daily kitchen set up. knead, mature, cut, mould, mix, and shape dough and pastry items. Prepare and craft various pastry fillings to create unique and flavourful products. Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times, ensuring all items are baked to perfection. Coordinate the entire baking process, from forming and loading to baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products. Skilfully glaze buns and pastries, and decorate cakes with cream, icing, and other embellishments. Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting. Maintain a clean and organised workspace. All whilst working affectively and following instructions from the Head Baker.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience and relevant industry qualifications are not essential, but are advantageous.
• Must be willing to take a medical.
• Happy to work in a team.

• Good work ethic.
