About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chef join our team. As a chef, you will be
responsible for supporting every kitchen section with stock ordering, food production and
dispatching within the company, including off-site events. This role will require working on
weekdays and weekends as per the business requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
• Plan and develop menus to ensure high quality food products and restaurant
profitability.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary
food-handling practices.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Estimate food
requirements and food costs.
• Train and clean kitchen and work area.
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Monitor food stock and place orders.
• Check freshness of food and discard out of date items.
• Ability to communicate efficiently
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Team Player
• A proactive approach to system improvements
• Knowledge of HACCP and relevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
