Ormeggio at the Spit is currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager.
Ormeggio at The Spit, located at d’Albora Marina in Mosman, is a buzzy Italian seafood fine-dining restaurant and Cocktail Bar.
It has two chef hats, is often listed among Australia’s top restaurants and has an incredible team of skilled people from all over the world in its team.
Ormeggio's wine list has been winning awards since opening in 2009. With a heavy focus on Italian wines, a good splash of French and of course a wonderful cellar of Australian wines this is an established and varied list to engage with.
We are seeking a Restaurant Manager that has a minimum of two years experience working in a fine-dining establishment, preferrably working with Italian cuisine. The successful candidate will lead our tight knit team in providing our customer with exemplary customer service and a unique and memorable dining experience.
Essential requirements:
* Full working rights
* Fluent English, written and spoken
* Knowledge of Italian language is desired but not essential
* Experience essential, preferred working knowledge of Italian cuisine
* Minimum of 2 years working in fine-dining or similar hatted restaurants
* Prior experience with writing daily operational & financial reports
* Current NSW RSA Certificate
* Formal hospitality studies completed
* Working wine & food knowledge, particularly around Italian cuisine & beverages
* Hours can vary and can include weekend and holiday work
Favoured requirements:
* Prior experience with SevenRooms or other online reservation platforms
* Prior experience using MobiPOS or other restaurant POS
* Speak Italian? Bonus!
Tasks include:
* Rostering and wage management
* Working alongside our kitchen team to deliver exceptional food & service
* Supervise and performance manage staff
* Conduct ongoing training for FOH team as required
* Cost control to budget expectations
* Managing relationships with stakeholders (d'Albora Marina, Mosman Council)
* Conducting shift briefings to ensure all staff are across daily specials, special events and VIP customers

* Salary $80,000-$90,000 p.a. + Super
