Our client, Bhutan Cuisine, is currently looking for three (3) qualified Sous Chefs to join their kitchen team on a full-time basis. As the first Bhutanese restaurant in Australia, Bhutan Cuisine is expanding to Brisbane soon, in addition to its current location on Walcott Street in Perth, West Australia. The 85-seat restaurant serves authentic Bhutanese food and has been renowned for maintaining high standards in food and customer service for over seven years.
Experienced Sous Chefs are needed for both the Perth location and the upcoming Brisbane restaurant to be considered for this opportunity.
You will need to demonstrate:
• A proven history of success as a Chef (with Bhutanese cuisine experience).
• Proven history of producing quality food including Bhutanese.
• The ambition is to create modern menus in alignment with customer feedback.
• Be able to work under pressure as Bhutanese food is prepared fresh.
• A track record of awards you have won or prestigious venues you have worked in.
• Excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise work duties to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Uncompromising attitude toward hygiene, food quality, and safety.
• Strong communication skills with front-of-house alliances.
• Ability to create specials and minimise wastage with control of labour costs and stock.
You will be responsible for:
• Developing Bhutanese menus that are of the highest quality.
• Make seasonal Bhutanese Menu and Events menu.
• Developing, nurturing, and motivating a passionate team that always strives for quality.
• Tending to any kitchen issues and day-to-day needs as they arise.
• Managing staff rosters.
• Managing food costs and supplier management.
Qualifications:
• Must possess an Australian Qualification Framework Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Should have at least one (1) year of experience as a Sous Chef.
Salary:
$70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
