Our client based in Brisbane is looking for an experienced manager to organise and manage the operations of the fine dining restaurant to provide dining, take away orders, in –house events and catering services.
• Plan menus in consultation with Chef and owner
• Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
• Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Ensure dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• Confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
• Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
• Supervised all in-house aspects of the restaurant, from in-house decorations to menu selection
• Managed different areas of restaurant operations such as customer relations, vendors’ relations and inventory control.
• Specialized in training and motivating new staff regarding their work and responsibilities.
• Controlled the overall cash flow on a daily basis to meet the weekly expenditures.
• Maintained accounting books regarding employee payroll and sales summaries of the restaurant.
• Helped in promoting business through social interaction in community events.
• Plan and organise special functions like Mother’s Day, Valentine day specials etc.
• Estimated the daily food consumption and placed orders with suppliers accordingly –

• Strong customer service skills.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Commercial awareness.
• Interpersonal and teamworking skills.
• The ability to prioritise and juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
