Essential Requirements for successful candidates:
* Australian working rights
* Fluent in English
* Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Strong working knowledge of Italian cuisine
* Minimum of two years of experience in fine-dining establishments
* Formal cooking qualification (minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery)
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the team in menu planning, recipe development, cook-offs, writing tasting notes, training, and implementation of new dishes.
* Ensuring consistent and high-quality food preparation and cooking
* Adhering to cost control measures and budgetary guidelines
* Managing and training any junior chefs
* Monitoring portion and waste control
* Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
