One of our Clients Ssam Mini Hotpot Korean Cuisine, based at Victoria Park, WA6100 is looking for a reliable, experienced full time Chef to join their team. It is a full-time position for the right candidate.
To be considered for this role you must have:
• AQF Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar role
• You must be Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident or have proper working rights in Australia
Duties and responsibilities:
• Lead and coach junior kitchen staff and give clear instruction to them
• Plan and evaluate menu and estimate food cost by assisting the Head Chef
• Report to the Head Chef
• Be responsible for fulfilling all the obligations regarding safety and the occupational health and safety requirements
• Order and maintain all the inventories required for food production
• Complete duties ensuring the quality of menu items with regard to raw materials, cooking process, portion control and presentation
• Handle, store, and rotate all food items ensuring quality and maintain an efficient store Examine food to ensure quality, prepare food for different periods
• Defrost, store, prepare correctly as per food item in accordance with instructions and adhere to safe food handling practice
• Prepare, cook, season the dishes by applying a range of methods and techniques
Essential skills
• Organized person and ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, self-management, and detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high turnover environment
• Proven ability within sections of a kitchen
• Good Management qualities
• Ability to follow standards, procedures, and company's recipes
• Advanced communication skills
• Impeccable presentation, hygiene, and grooming standards
• Ensure compliance with all OHS legislation (act and regulation)
Salary – at least $73150 +super
