Accountant Up to $95k+Super Mascot 2020 Full-time permanent role Hybrid - In-office & WFH

Our client are one of the leading providers of aesthetic products - unique not only in their product portfolio but also in their passion for building close relationships with healthcare professionals, and this is an exciting opportunity to work within their Australian division, headquartered in Mascot, Sydney.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a strong Assistant Accountant to take a step up, or a solid Accountant to move into a supportive, collaborative and down-to-earth Finance team.
As the Accountant in this team your role spans a wide range of duties - from highly transactional tasks (reviewing and processing payments, invoices and expenses) to more technical duties - assisting the Financial Controller by helping to prepare financial statements and accounts, as well as finalising month-end and year-end accounts.
The successful candidate will be happy to work in a highly transactional role with a large focus on AP, but also be passionate about building cross-functional relationships. Excellent attention to detail is imperative. Ideally somebody looking for a long-term position and a company with whom they can stay and grow.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Review supplier invoices and expense claims on a daily basis, ensuring they're correct & supporting documentation provided.
Serving as back-up review for payments processed by AP Officer accurately and within the expected time frame.
Verifying financial statements, ledgers, and accounts and making corrections where appropriate.
Performing reconciliation of accounts
Assist in the preparation of reconciliations including General Ledger/Balance Sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Processing company bank payments through internet banking
Month-end close and reporting processes - using SAP and Excel
No involvement in tax or AR
Skills/experience required:
5 years' experience (minimum) in an accounting role
Excellent attention to detail - reviewing 100 - 200 transactions per month - spotting any discrepancies
Passionate about building cross-functional relationships
Positive can-do attitude
Experience using an ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.)
Happy to provide pro-active support across the business to solve technical and procedural issues, and improve efficiency
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
