The job description for CDP chef is as follows and it is not an exhaustive list:
-Menu planning, estimating food and labour costs.
-Preparing and cooking menu items.
-Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.
-Adhering to, explaining and enforcing of hygiene regulations.
-Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
-Delegation of tasks to other team members.
-Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
-Monitor food stock and place orders
Requirements:
-Qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in the commercial kitchen
-Flexible availability
-Good communication skills
-Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
-Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements
-Experienced in multi-cuisine.
