Hotel Manager – Docklands, VIC
Kogan People Solutions are pleased to be working with a boutique, family operated accommodation service in Docklands, Victoria, with apartments across three consecutive buildings featuring incredible views of Melbourne’s iconic Collins Street.
This thriving accommodation business provides modern and spacious apartments suitable for families on holidays, business guests and for weekend get-aways. Every apartment boasts water or city views, abundant sunlight and fresh air.
Our client is now seeking an experienced, hands-on, and dynamic Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations and ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction are achieved.
Location – Docklands, Victoria
Salary – A top salary in the range of $80k to $90k plus superannuation per annum will be offered to the successful applicant.
Tenure - This is a full time and ongoing position, requiring shifts across the working week, evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the apartments, including reception, reservations, security and housekeeping.
• Regularly evaluate guest satisfaction, address any guest complaints promptly and implement necessary changes to improve service quality and guest retention.
• Develop and implement strategic revenue plans with local businesses and tourism operators and maintain strong relationships with large and regular clients.
• Manage, lead and motivate staff to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained, along with a positive team culture.
• Provide or arrange training for hotel staff where necessary.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and supervise property maintenance to uphold hotel standards and ensure the well-being and safety of guests and staff.
• Manage financial operations, including accounting and purchasing, to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure clients are properly invoiced and accounts receivables are paid.
To be successfully considered, we expect to see:
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years in hotel management, preferably more.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma (or agreed substitute) in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Genuine passion for hospitality with a keen eye for detail in customer service.
• Demonstrated operational and financial management experience within a hotel environment.
• Strong people management skills and demonstrated experience in leading a team, coaching and mentoring staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Unrestricted right to work full-time in Australia.
