Background
Beyond Building Solutions Pty Ltd is a family business that has been built over the last 20 years. We specialise in commercial fit outs, especially gyms throughout Australia. We also fit out other sporting operations as well as barber shops, childcare centers, chemists, work offices and warehouses. Additionally, we perform domestic work including refurbishments and extensions.
Daily tasks include
• Establishment and maintenance of work sites. This includes ensuring that BBS’s Safe Quality and Environmental Management Plan has been completed for a specific site as well as all site- specific SWMS.
• Managing contractors and subcontractors’ necessary documents including licenses and insurances as well as their site-specific Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), ensuring the documents are collected and organized both physically and electronically on the Procure platform.
• Setting up and maintenance of site office and site security in the form ensuring the availability of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), job signage, site office setup, first aid station, basic site security including fencing and hoarding, and communication with neighboring business where necessary.
• Coordination of all trades on site in conjunction with the director. This includes creating a works schedule and managing the arrival and departure of trades on site.
• Ensure contractors understand their scope of work, follow appropriate onsite Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), meet timing deadlines and produce high quality work. Implement and monitor on site OHS.
• Ensure trades maintain a clean work environment by overseeing end-of-day cleanup procedures and confirming that the site is left in an acceptable condition.
• Accept on-site deliveries - establish loading and unloading locations and safe procedures for on-site deliveries and manage the timing of deliveries which can be restricted depending on the site e.g., in shopping centers. Also ensure specialty equipment e.g., forklifts are available where necessary.
• Communicate with clients by conducting site walk-throughs with clients, provide updates on project status, address any issues, document these interactions, and report project developments and outcomes to the director, senior project management and the team.
• Collect data and maintain Procure (project management platform) for the site and ensuring daily photos of on-site works have been uploaded
Requirements:
1) Minimum Education of a Diploma.
2) At least 2 years of work experience in project administration or in the related field.
3) Previous experience in commercial fit outs is preferable.
4) Superior communication skills with strong written skills.
5) Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Procure project management system.
6) Ability to work on sites throughout Sydney and may be required to travel interstate.
Annual salary: $ 110,240.00 + superannuation
40 hours a week. Standard workdays are Monday - Friday between 7am and 5pm.
