About the role
We are currently seeking applications for a seasonal Traffic Officer to join the Pioneer and Kalamia Ops Centre, based at Pioneer in the Burdekin Region. The position involves continuous shift work during the crushing season, weekend work and some overtime. The role will transition from seasonal to permanent for the right candidate.
Essential criteria for this position include:
Understanding of rail transport operations.
Work safely and look after the safety of others.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback on the operation's performance.
Adapt to and support ongoing change.
Intermediate level of computer skills.
Hold a manual 'C' class driver's licence.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinating the safe movement of trains on the Pioneer and Kalamia railway network.
