ugl is excited to announce a newly created position for an aboriginal engagement manager. the role will be based out of our brisbane office and serve as the primary liaison with our project sites in queensland and south australia, local aboriginal communities, and social and procurement organisations. this role has a strong focus on the employment of aboriginal and torres strait islander peoples.
about the role
be the primary point of contact for community engagement, advice/guidance on aboriginal businesses and employment opportunities.
develop and implement employment strategies to attract aboriginal and torres strait islander talent.
identify opportunities to engage local aboriginal businesses.
represent ugl internally and externally as an sme on aboriginal and torres strait islander peoples matters.
provide input into ugls initiatives for bids and tenders.
promote a more inclusive work environment.
