Your new role In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for:
Preparing tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
Providing advice on all facets of business services and taxation matters
Ensuring tax compliance, including financial statements, tax returns, and BAS
Preparing BAS and handling other bookkeeping tasks
Advanced taxation and accounting principles knowledge, with the ability to conduct in-depth research and problem-solve
Proficiency in preparing financial accounts, income tax returns, activity statements, and other financial documentation to a high standard
Ability to prepare budgets, cashflows, and business planning documents, along with providing strategic tax planning and business structure advice
Strong practical knowledge of accounting software like MYOB, Reckon, Xero, and QuickBooks, enabling effective client support and system advice
Experience in assisting clients with audits, compliance issues, and licensing applications, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will:
Have a strong foundation of experience in a Public Practice accounting firm
Relevant tertiary education, CA or CPA is preferable.
Possess impeccable communication skills
Be proficient in accounting software such as Handisoft, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Microsoft
