Position Overview:
We seek a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Wonder Education Group out of its initial start-up phase and into sustainable rapid growth. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of top-notch educational services for students and their families. The CEO will set the company's strategic direction, oversee operations, ensure quality control, and drive financial performance. We expect you to be a forward-thinking leader passionate about early childhood education with a proven track record of achieving long-term business growth.
General Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the group's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Lead long-term planning and ensure alignment with company values and objectives.
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement while promoting the group’s childhood learning philosophy.

2. Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective management of resources and staff.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and educational standards.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.

3. Educational Leadership:
- Ensure the highest standards for teachers, students and learning outcomes.
- Promote professional development and support for teachers and administrative staff.
- Foster a culture of welcoming and openness that bolsters team morale, job satisfaction, and professional efficiencies.
- Advance academic excellence by supporting and mentoring school directors and teachers through their Montessori journey “to help children help themselves,” as well as families in applying Montessori methods outside the classroom.

4. Community Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, educational regulators, parents, and the local community.
- Represent the group in public forums and educational conferences.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to uphold transparency, reputation, and trust.

5. Governance and Compliance:
- Uphold legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the board of directors to communicate organizational performance expectations and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the group's interests.
- Ensure that all campuses meet and exceed safety regulations.

6. Innovation and Technology:
- Promote the integration of technology in educational practices and administration.
- Encourage innovative teaching methods and the adoption of new educational technologies.
- Stay current on educational trends and advancements to keep the group competitive and forward-thinking.

7. Performance Management:
- Set performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for administrators, faculty and staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of management and administrative teams, faculty and staff.

8. Civic and Cultural Engagement:
- Promote the group's values and culture both internally and externally.
- Engage with the local community to foster partnerships and joint initiatives.
- Support extracurricular and community-based programs that enhance student learning experiences.
- Build positive and constructive relations with parents, teachers, and the community through regular communication, campus-hosted activities, and public events.

9. Sustainability and Growth:
- Identify opportunities for expansion through mergers, acquisitions, and franchising.
- Guarantee the enduring feasibility and sustainability of the group's business model.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Financial Performance:
- Revenue growth measured by annual percentage increases.
- Net profit margin and EBITDA.
- Adherence to budget and cost controls.

2. Operational Efficiencies:
- Key operational processes, including course delivery and resource utilization.
- Timely launch and success of new curricula, educational products, and services.
- Parent satisfaction and feedback scores.
- Streamlining of internal processes and reduction in resources dedicated to administrative tasks.

3. Strategic Growth:
- Progress on strategic initiatives and long-term objectives.
- Successful establishment of strategic partnerships, franchisees, and collaborations.
- Investment in research and development of new curricula, educational products, and services.
- Year-over-year percentage increase in student enrollments.
- Success in integrating new educational technologies.

4. Employee Engagement:
- Recruitment and retention of key talent and reducing turnover rate.
- Results from general employee satisfaction surveys and itemized feedback.
- Performance and professional development of senior management.

5. Compliance and Quality:
- Strict adherence to all industry regulations and standards.
- Maintenance of academic excellence and student outcomes.
- Effectiveness of risk management strategies and risk reduction.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree (e.g., master’s or PhD in education, management, or a related field) is preferred.

2. Experience:
Seasoned professional with a successful history in senior leadership positions, including CEO, COO, or similar roles within education or a related industry. In-depth knowledge and experience in the early childhood education sector encompassing an understanding of trends, regulations, and market dynamics, especially in Australia, China, and Southeast Asia.

3. Leadership:
Adept in strategy planning with a proven ability to grow an organization. Skilled in leading, mentoring, and earning the trust of diverse teams of professionals and educators.

4. Financial:
Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis. Proven track record of effectively managing company finances, positively impacting top and bottom lines. Proficient in cash flow optimization and identifying new business opportunities to achieve strategic development and growth objectives.

5. Operations:
Competent in company program development and delivery with demonstrated expertise in managing projects from inception through successful completion on time and within budget.

6. Communication:
Skilled in speaking and negotiation, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships with community partners and customers. Able to represent the company effectively at conferences, public engagements, with government bodies and media.

7. Innovation:
Capable of fostering the development of educational practices and technologies while continuously learning and staying ahead of external developments. Proficiency in managing organizational change and adapting to evolving industry demands.

8. Regulatory:
Detailed understanding of Australian educational regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

9. Languages:
Professional communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Spanish preferred.
