Regal Mushrooms is a mushroom growing farm located at 888 Londonderry Road, Londonderry NSW.
We are looking for Farm General Hands. We are looking to fill 5 vacancies. The successful candidates must be:
- able to speak and write Basic English
- good with manual handling techniques
- able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and maintain several priorities at once effectively
- attentive to detail
- resilient to handle pressure
- dedicated, diligent and flexible
- have a “Can Do” attitude
-open to work on weekends
-open to work early morning starts
-open to work outdoors
- able to operate a forklift
The farm is open on weekends and public holidays. Our Farm General Hands have to work varying days but typically 5 days across the week (typically Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur and Sunday). Start time is between 04h30am and 6am with a finish time that varies depending on the day. (finish time varies usually between 12pm and 2pm). Hours worked per week can vary but are at least 38 hours per week.
The conditions of employment are as per the Horticulture Award 2020 and this role is classified as a Level 4 position and pays a rate of $25.66 per hour. We are looking for Farm General Hands to start as soon as possible, preferably during the month of November and the work that is available is continuous and unlimited at this point.
Duties:
Emptying and filling of Mushroom growing rooms
Cleaning of mushroom growing room and machinery and equipment
Moving product to be wrapped
Moving harvester equipment
Moving pallets
Assisting on our pre-pack line
Food Safety and Freshcare
• Follow all food safety related instructions, policies and procedures
• Comply with Freshcare hygiene and food safety basics
• Support in Freshcare and escalate any deviations
Safety (WHS)
• Ensure that risks are minimised as far as reasonably practicable within your area of responsibly
• Ensure your work is completed in accordance with Safe Operating Procedures, Safe Work Method Statements or other risk assessments
• Ensure that prior to any use of machinery you have completed all required training and that the appropriate machine Safe Operating
Procedure has been signed off
• Ensure you are fit for work and not affected by alcohol or other drugs
• Ensure you wear the required Personal Protection Equipment
• Have a genuine regard for safety and the well-being of those you work with

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
