Position: Café Manager

Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with chefs to craft seasonal menus that highlight local produce and meet budgetary considerations.
• Coordinate and oversee special events and functions, ensuring a seamless blend of service and atmosphere.
• Manage procurement processes and pricing strategies to align with café’s budget and quality standards.
• Maintain meticulous records of inventory and financial transactions to ensure operational efficiency.
• Uphold stringent health and safety standards in dining and kitchen areas, ensuring all spaces are clean and welcoming.
• Engage with guests to gather feedback on food and service quality, using insights to enhance the dining experience.
• Lead, train, and mentor front-of-house and kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Handle reservations and guest interactions with a personal touch, enhancing the customer experience from greeting to farewell.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Drive initiatives to increase café’s visibility and engagement within the local community.
• Develop marketing strategies that reflect the café’s values and target local demographics.
• Foster relationships with local vendors and farmers to ensure the highest quality of ingredients.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000-$80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field is required.
