The Role:
This Systems Administrator role is for a full-time role with an annual salary between $74,000 to $80,000, depending on experience + Superannuation and will be based at their Macquarie Park, NSW office.
The Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients to assess their IT needs and determine appropriate system solutions.
• Design and configure IT systems, including server architecture, network setups, and security protocols.
• Install and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and network components.
• Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels based on client requirements.
• Continuously monitor system performance and run diagnostics to identify and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support to clients regarding system issues, upgrades, and user access.
• Apply software updates, patches, and upgrades to keep systems secure and functional.
• Optimize system performance through load balancing, resource allocation, and tuning.
• Implement backup strategies and recovery solutions to ensure data protection.
• Manage security by implementing access controls, firewalls, and regular threat assessments.
• Ensure systems comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on system performance and security.
The Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of database management, network architecture, and security protocols
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience managing Microsoft Windows Active Directory Domain in a Virtualised Environment (Hyper-V, AD, Group Policies, Logon Scrips)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and implementing scalable software solutions
• Experience setting up and managing Network Printing solution using PaperCut is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and IT team members.
