Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time accounting role. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and financial reporting tasks, including preparing financial statements, managing tax returns, and supervising accounting team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Tax returns for individual, sole trader, company, trust and SMSF
• Prepare Financial statements and management reports to the clients
• Prepare Cash flow statements and budget reporting to the clients
• Review Financial information from bookkeepers to prepare profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and tax returns
• Prepare quarterly BAS reports, including GST reconciliations and ATO submissions
• Supervise team members for accounts payable, receivables and payroll
• Perform secretarial tasks, including dealing with ABR, ATO, ASIC, and Trust Deeds for organization formation, and compliance
• Use Sage HandiSoft, Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks for financial accounting
• Registration of companies with ASIC and apply for TFN and ABN; explain tax obligations to the clients
• Research information from ATO and other sources for tax calculations, compliance, and business restructuring
• Implement and monitor changes from ATO and ASIC, liaising with the clients as needed
• Investigate and address errors, advise clients, and communicate with ATO regarding penalties and audits
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Schedule: 8 hours shift
Supplementary Pay: Bonus
