THE ROLE
Join our thriving Gas Networks & Services Team in a newly created role as a dedicated and ambitious Junior Accountant . Based at our Thomastown depot, you will report to the Senior Management Accountant and play a pivotal role in managing the company's systems, procedures, and controls. Your colleagues will value your initiative and commitment to driving continuous improvement in accurate and timely accounting decisions.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Preparation of monthly management accounts involves creating journals, reviewing results, and analysing variances against budget/forecast/prior years to meet Group reporting requirements.
Reconciling General Ledger accounts and intercompany transactions
Support the invoicing/ claim process and ensure timely and accurate issuance of invoices
Prepare and process end-of-month journals as required, including cost allocation and general ledger journals.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting for both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
