Job Overview:
We’re expanding our finance team and have openings for Accountants at various levels. Work closely with senior management, delivery accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. We invite applications from proactive, personable professionals with at least 5 years of experience, from intermediate to senior levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Preparation of management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Lead client meetings for small businesses and personal tax clients.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated with changes to accounting standards, tax laws and other regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assisting with the development of junior team.
- Contribute to a client-focused team and supportive workplace culture.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business or related field.
- CA/CPA qualification, or currently working towards it.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in preparing complex tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Confidently convey information to clients while fostering strong and trusting relationships.
- Skilled in Excel and a range of accounting software, with a preference for experience in Xero and MYOB.
- Highly organised, capable of managing multiple clients while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Ambitious with a strong desire for professional growth and advancement.
