About the role: As a qualified Protection Officer, you will manage the rail safety component of a worksite and assess the appropriate type of protection for the works being performed. Your excellent communication skills will set you up for success and you will perform pre-start briefing and provide answers to queries as necessary on site.
Implement appropriate type of protection when there is potential to intrude into the danger zone.
Assess the risk associated with the rail component of the activity and safety requirements to manage rail traffic through or into a worksite.
Provide worksite protection details for the Pre-Start Briefing and provide answers to queries as necessary.
Hand over worksite protection information to the relieving Protection Officer and ensure workers and equipment are clear of
