Salary: $75,000 plus 11.5% superannuation

Client is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in commercial and industrial settings. As an Electrician at Air Freeze Refrigeration, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components for our refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You will work closely with our technical team to ensure that all installations and repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Employment will be on a permanent full-time basis. Key duties will include electrical installation and investigations, testing and maintenance and service and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
You will have a well-rounded understanding of electricals, including interpreting plans, wiring and problem solving and be comfortable working in varying climate conditions. The successful applicant will be trade qualified, motivated with proven experience in the related field.
Minimum Requirements:
• Possess a recognised Trade Certificate as an Electrician
• Hold a current qualified Electricians Licence
• Have at least 2 years’ proven relevant experience
• Familiarity with the latest electrical diagnostic tools and software
• Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work, particularly in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
What you will be responsible for:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components for refrigeration and air conditioning units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing efficient and effective solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects within the allocated time frame.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and concerns in a professional manner.
• Assist in the design and layout of electrical systems for new refrigeration and air conditioning installations.
• Perform electrical upgrades and retrofits to improve system efficiency and performance.
• Document all work performed, including service reports and maintenance records.
• Support emergency call-outs and after-hours service requests as needed.
Skills, experience and attributes:
• Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
• Test for, locate and repair electrical malfunctions
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment used particularly in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven knowledge and experience in maintaining safety standards and industry best practices
• Excellent fault-finding skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
