The Opportunity:
Murray Mallee Aged Care Group Inc. (MMACG) is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Care Supervisor Service Consultant with experience in coordinating services to older people to join our existing metropolitan team, working in our Adelaide office (290 Glen Osmond Road, Fullarton SA 5063).
The Care Supervisor Service Consultant will work collaboratively with the team to support elderly community members living at home to reach their goals and maintain their independence. This role involves:
• Coordinating services for older people
• Supervising aged care workers and personal care workers
• Implementing interventions with older people at risk
• Facilitating individual service planning and delivery
• Managing legal and ethical compliance
• Delivering care services using a palliative approach
• Developing and maintaining networks and collaborative partnerships
• Coordinating client-directed services
• Managing partnership agreements with service providers
This role involves some travel within the Greater Adelaide region, however, fleet vehicles are provided.
Essential Criteria:
• Current Drivers’ License
• Current Police Clearance
• Minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
• Sound computer skills
• Empathy and understanding towards the needs of older people
• An understanding of the Consumer Directed Care model of service delivery
• Hold a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate IV (or higher)
• Minimum 1 year of recent work experience in the aged care (or similar sector); or have at least 3 years of recent and relevant work experience, to substitute a formal qualification
Desirable Criteria (non-essential):
• Candidates with fluency in an additional language are encouraged to apply
The salary for this role is set at Level 4 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services award ($85,000 – 91,000 per annum).
