Bedford Harbour Engineering is a service and manufacturing company supplying the Western Australian Agricultural market. Our services include manufacturing Field Bins, Chaser Bins and other agricultural equipment.
The position is based in Esperance, on the south coast of Western Australia, 6450.
Salary: $73,150 per year
THE ROLE
- Manufacture of field bins, chaser bins, trailers and other agricultural and industrial equipment
- Maintenance and repairs of agricultural equipment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and Foreman, you will be required to carry out tasks as directed.
- Read and understand engineering drawings to determine and plan the job requirements and sequence adequately
- Fabrication of black and galvanised steel with MIG/TIG, ARC, OXY and other hand tools
- Examine welds for penetration, defects and precision and perform cleaning operations
- Carry out trial fits for mechanical/structural assemblies
- Fabricate using a press brake and section rolling machinery
- Conduct Quality Assurance on parts and assemblies to ensure compliance.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
Minimum 5 - 10 years’ of workshop experience
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Flexible and able to engage confidently with co-workers and management.
- An eye for detail combined with a positive attitude.
- Ability to interpret drawings and carry out detailed site measuring
- Be willing to work with different materials and varying tasks.
- Good English skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Current Police Clearance
