Spot on Linen and Cleaning is a local commercial laundry service providing laundry and cleaning services to tourism industry. We are based in Port Douglas, Qld 4877. Due to increase in work and to provide better services to existing and new clients, we are seeking a full-time Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our team for the efficient operation and management of installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial laundry machines for our business.
To be considered for this role you must have:
• At least 3 years of proven laundry management experience.
• A proven history with maintaining laundry mechanical systems.
• Logically and technically minded, with proven experience in repairing and maintaining commercial washing machines, dryers and irons.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Spanish speaking will be highly considered.
• Experience in managing a team.
The main responsibilities are as following:
• Oversee all laundry day to day operations, including staff, transport, maintenance and quality assurance measures.
• Examining and testing the laundry equipment to diagnose faults.
• Fixing and maintaining commercial washing machines, dryers and irons.
• Adjusting, repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and maintain laundry equipment.
• Reassembling, test operating and adjusting the machines as required.
• Calibrating and modifying equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintaining safety procedures in the laundry and write safe work method statements and management plans in the laundry including machinery and chemical use.
• Keeping records on the transport and deliveries.
• Effectively map out the most effective routes for pick up and deliveries and day to day operations.
• Structure the day-to-day operations of the staff to ensure the goods are processed packed and sent, whilst maintaining clear adequate records for the accounts staff.
• Training staff on correct operating procedures to prevent any loss or damage or malfunction.
• Reporting to the directors of KPIS on a weekly basis.
• Keeping the management up to date on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Remuneration: A competitive salary package $75,000 - $85,000 is on offer and negotiable or commensurate with experience and qualifications.
