FARM SNORKELER POSITION
This is a fulltime position starting in December 2024, employment duration is subject to Annual Review conducted by Dive Team Manager.
REMUNERATION:
The position is an award rate, paid on a fortnightly basis.

Farm work completed inshore and onshore will be calculated at the normal hourly farm rate.
OPERATIONS:
Periods at sea are varied and weather dependent.
Dive vessels can be required to conduct operations year-round from land-based sites out to the farming site.
SNORKELER DUTIES:
The employee will be required to perform certain duties whilst on a farm site.
Deck Duties:
• Ability to stand on unstable surfaces and undertake general duties on a day-to-day basis as advised by the Master
• Forklift operation (license required) onshore only
• Loading and unloading of vessel at sea and on-shore
• Farm maintenance as directed by Dive Supervisor/Vessel Master
• Rope work (splicing, knotting etc)
• Pontoon and net inspection (out of water)
• Repetitive manual labour
• Vessel cleaning and house keeping
• Vessel mooring/berthing
In-water Duties:
• Net mending
• Rope work (splicing, knotting etc.)
• Farm pontoon maintenance
• Net inspection from surface (in-water)
• Fish handling (catching)
• Assist in mooring and net weight deployment/retrieval
Hours of operation are 0700 – 1700Hrs or determined by the daily operational needs.
VESSEL INDUCTIONS:
All crew are inducted onto the vessel prior to first departure.
Safety drills conducted bi-monthly.
Deck machinery training and instruction conducted.
SOP’s to be discussed for operations.
