PSYSIOTHERAPISTS
Locations: San Souci, NSW 2219 and Edmonson Park, NSW 2174
Tenure: Full-time, Permanent
Comprehensive salary package from $73,150 pa (plus superannuation)
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree of relevant field or higher or equivalent
• At least one (3) year of recent and relevant work experience
• Current registration as Physiotherapist with AHPRA
Position Summary:
On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Physiotherapists to join the team that provides physiotherapy care and services for nursing homes.
Major duties and responsibilities:
• Assesses, treats and prevents disorders in human movement caused by injury or disease.
• administering muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests to identify and assess physical problems of patients
• designing treatment programs to address patients' problems
• treating patients to reduce pain, improve circulation, strengthen muscles, improve cardiothoracic, cardiovascular and respiratory functions, restore joint mobility, and improve balance and coordination
• using the therapeutic properties of exercise, heat, cold, massage, manipulation, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, ultraviolet and infra-red light and ultrasound in the treatment of patients
• reviewing, continually monitoring, assessing and evaluating programs and treatments
• consulting with other Health Professionals as required about patients' problems, needs and progress
• instructing patients and their families in procedures to be continued at home
• recording treatments given and patients' responses and progress
• developing and implementing screening and preventative health promotion programs
Other required skills:
• Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in physiotherapy.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and analysis skills and knowledge, and ability to implement indicated treatments for individuals and groups.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies which are relevant to the completion of clinical care.
• Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds.
