Midland Pty Ltd are 100% Australian owned and fabricated specialist manufacturers of Plant and Equipment Trailers, including Dog Trailers, Tag Trailers, Semi-Drop Deck Trailers, Skel Trailers, Skip Bin Transfer Trailers, Road Train Dollies and Custom Trailers.
We are currently looking for Welders / Metal Fabricators, Diesel Motor Mechanics, Spray Painters, Metal Machinists (CNC Controllers) and Fitters in Parkes NSW and Kyneton VIC who have genuine interest and passion for the heavy vehicle industry.
Welders / Fabricators: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a Cert III in Engineering / Fabrication and have at least 5 years' experience in both Welding and Tacking.
You must also:
- Have the ability to read workshop drawings
- Show leadership skills and the ability to work as a team member
- Follow instructions given by Coordinator
- Be reliable and honest
- Have an understanding of lean manufacturing
- Be able to fit into a clean, tidy and motivated workshop environment
Diesel Motor Mechanics: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant trade certificates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
The successful candidate must also meet the below requirements:
- Must be living in Australia and have the right to work in Australia
- Knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme
- Be a team player
- Be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Diagnostic experience (preferred but not essential)
You will be responsible for the fit out of new trailers, including fitting the following:
- Axles
- Suspension Air Bag and Spring
- Wabco EBS Braking systems
- Fitting lights and wiring harnesses to trailers
- Occasional repairs to secondhand trailers
Spray Painters: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant trade certificates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Metal Machinists/CNC Controllers: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant trade certificates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Fitters: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant trade certificates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
These are full time positions working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday required.
Remuneration packages between $73,150 - $75,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
