Who we are The Sea Cargo Policy and Strategic Engagement Section: delivers reform, operational policy and regulatory leadership across a range of cargo commodities and pathways develops strategic communications and engagement material together with secretariat support for external consultative forums, manages relevant website content and social media presence and coordinating import industry advice notifications. The Ports Policy Section: Leads the departments input to new and redeveloping port projects to ensure they contain the infrastructure and facilities to support biosecurity clearance. Works across the departments biosecurity system and engages with industry and Commonwealth and State government agencies to advance biosecurity objectives for project design and delivery. Develops the departments policy, standards and functional requirements for new and redeveloping ports
