Your position and salary
• Full-time role
• Firm based in Brisbane
• $75,000 + super
Job tasks and responsibilities
• Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies accurately and on time.
• Prepare and lodge activity statements and FBT returns accurately and on time.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial efficiency.
• Build and curate relationships with clients.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee and review the work of outsourced staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Skills and experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CA or CPA qualified preferred)
• Xero expert
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative team player with strong analytical skills
• Understand complex issues around Division 7A, Lease accounting and deferred tax assets/liabilities
• Strong written and verbal skills both in English and Japanese
