Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our dynamic dental
team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and
maintenance of dental prosthetics and appliances, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and
orthodontic devices. The Dental Technician will work closely with dentists and other dental
professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care and satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
? Fabrication of Dental Prosthetics:
o Create crowns, bridges, dentures, and other dental appliances based on dentists'
specifications.
o Design and develop orthodontic devices such as retainers and aligners.
? Repair and Adjustment:
o Repair broken or damaged dental prosthetics.
o Adjust and modify dental appliances to ensure proper fit and comfort for patients.
? Impressions and Models:
o Work from dental impressions to create accurate molds and models of patients'
teeth.
o Build precise models for use in the creation of dental appliances.
? Use of Technology:
o Utilize CAD/CAM technology and 3D printing for the design and fabrication of dental
prosthetics.
o Operate and maintain dental laboratory equipment and tools.
Material Selection and Management:
o Select appropriate materials for dental prosthetics, considering factors such as
durability and biocompatibility.
o Maintain an inventory of dental materials and supplies, ensuring proper storage and
availability.
? Quality Control:
o Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and aesthetic appeal.
o Adhere to strict guidelines and standards to ensure all dental products meet
regulatory requirements.
? Collaboration with Dental Professionals:
o Communicate effectively with dentists and other dental professionals to understand
patient needs and preferences.
o Provide technical advice and support regarding prosthetic design and materials.
? Record Keeping:
o Maintain detailed records of work orders, patient cases, and materials used.
o Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date for future reference and
compliance.
? Safety and Hygiene:
o Ensure that the laboratory and work areas are clean and sterile.
o Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working
environment.
? Educational Requirements:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Completion of an accredited dental technology program (associate degree or
diploma).
? Experience:
o Previous experience( as a dental technician in a dental laboratory or similar setting is
preferred.
o Experience with CAD/CAM technology and 3D printing is advantageous.
? Certifications (Preferred):
o Certification as a Dental Technician (e.g., Certified Dental Technician - CDT) is a plus.
? Skills and Competencies:
o Proficiency in using dental laboratory equipment and materials.
o Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
o Strong attention to detail and precision.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills.
