Leading Australian automation technology organisation seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Tonwsville! Your new company
A leading Australian automation technology organisation with operations throughout the country are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to work from their newly established Townsville practice! Partnering with clients throughout the region, this role will see you deploy and integrate solutions across different technical eco systems.
Your new role
Establish many years ago and headquartered in Brisbane, this organisation services the automation and OT needs of companies throughout the country. With operations and offices in several regions, this organisation partners with some of the biggest mining, oil & gas, manufacturing and infrastructure companies across Australia.
Due to their continued growth, they have recently established their first North Queensland operation in Townsville. Wanting to hire several professionals to increase their footprint in the region, they are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to work alongside their locally based Project Manager (whilst liaising with further technical teams in Brisbane).
Working in this diverse environment, this role will see you partner with clients across North Queensland to design, deploy and integrate automation/technical solutions into their existing operations (end to end delivery including post deployment support).
Aside from providing your technical expertise, on each project you will define problems, conduct technical and non-technical requirement gathering, identify areas for improvement, manage stakeholders, create technical documentation and review Fit For Purpose technologies amongst other duties.
From greenfield deployments to digital uplifts, the work that you, this team and external professionals will cover will vary greatly. Whilst predominantly working across the PLC and SCADA technical domains, there is great room for growth due to the breadth of projects covered by this organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience/knowledge across as much of the following as possible:
SCADA
PLC's and RTU's
IT/OT System Architecture
Industrial Communications and Networking
CitectSCADA, Schneider and Rockwell PLC experience highly advantageous
Stakeholder management
Vendor management
Technical documentation
Clear spoken and written communication skills

Full Australian working rights are needed
