Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our organisation. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex projects from initiation to completion. You will play a critical role in ensuring project success by effectively leading cross-functional teams, implementing efficient project management methodologies, and delivering high-quality results within budget and timeline constraints. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.


Responsibilities:

Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules, outlining key milestones, deadlines, and deliverables. Ensure regular updates and clear communication to all team members.
Develop and monitor detailed project budgets, managing financial resources effectively to ensure the project stays within budget while meeting all financial constraints.
Create resource plans that align with project needs, ensuring the availability of necessary personnel, equipment, and materials.
Offer expert technical advice to the project team, ensuring that all engineering activities adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, develop effective mitigation strategies, and monitor risks continuously to ensure timely resolution.
Establish and maintain regular communication channels with all stakeholders, providing clear and concise status updates on project progress and developments.
Assign and manage project resources efficiently, including the procurement of necessary materials, to ensure optimal utilisation and productivity.
Identify and resolve technical challenges as they arise, using innovative solutions to keep the project on track.
Establish and enforce quality assurance procedures to ensure that all project deliverables meet specified standards and requirements.
Develop detailed technical reports and present comprehensive project updates to stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project status and performance.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
Must have at least 2 years of proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer, successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints, specifically in the engineering domain.
Strong knowledge and application of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices in engineering projects.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams within AI Talent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels within AI Talent.
Solid understanding of risk management, change management, and quality assurance principles within the engineering field.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address engineering project-related challenges.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) are highly desirable.

Permanent Residents (PR), Australian / Citizens are eligible to apply Job Type: Full-time Salary: $120,000 to $160,000 per year (inclusive of super).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year

Benefits: Work from home

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in SYDNEY, NSW 2000
