We have an exciting opportunity for someone experienced and passionate about Quality to embed food safety culture throughout our business as part of a QA team. In this hands-on role, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will monitor our production processes to ensure our products adhere to food safety standards, investigate deviations and make improvements where needed.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Driving the importance of Quality Assurance throughout the organisation;
Lead a team of Quality Assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance;
Consult with operational team members to ensure that all products and incoming goods are safe, hygienic, and aligned with supplier / customer or business specification;
Taking a lead role with audits by customers or regulatory bodies and ensuring recommendations / non-conformance actions are followed up;
Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) are maintained;
Investigation and reporting associated with quality deviations including recommendations for process improvement;
Assisting the Quality Manager in ensuring the Quality team is appropriately resourced;
Coaching and mentoring of junior members of the team;
You bring:
Prior experience in a quality role within a retail ready food safety environment including knowledge of HACCP and AUSMEAT, DAWR and GFSI language;
A passion to educate others and embed a culture of quality across the business;
Well-developed problem-solving skills, the ability to think beyond the present and consider all facts and alternatives through consultation and openness;
Ownership of outcomes, even during challenging times;
