Destiny Homes & Construction Pty. Ltd. is seeking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager. This role is critical for the continued growth and success of the business. The primary purpose of the Construction Project Manager is to oversee and coordinate construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
This position is vital for enhancing productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the successful completion of projects, which directly impacts client satisfaction and the company's reputation in the market.
You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment among team members and stakeholders.
You will also collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards will be the routine responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management.
• Sound working knowledge of BCA, NCC and Australian Standards
In this role your main responsibilities include:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor and adjust project schedules as needed to ensure timely completion.
Team Management:
• Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular progress meetings.
Budget and Cost Control:
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety training sessions.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and address any concerns or changes promptly.
Other key skills and experience will include:
• Proven experience managing large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
