Role Purpose:
The Channel Account Executive (‘CSE’) is a member of the Commercial Group, reporting into the Channel Sales Manager with the primary focus on electricity contract sales to Commercial & Industrial businesses in Australia.
The CSE is responsible for the day-to-day management of sales and associated activities in respect of various assigned third-party intermediaries (‘TPIs’) and customers through those channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Sales: Manage a pipeline of broker tenders to prioritise, identify the appropriate product and response, and negotiate electricity supply contracts.
Contract Management: Managing the sale related activities of customer contracts, including supporting Customer Services with complex queries and late payments.
Market Insights & Feedback: Stay up to date on market insights and knowledge, and capture pricing and market feedback
Renewals – Managing the renewal pipeline of customers to associated brokers
Broker Relations - Creating / maintaining / building rapport and good relationships with TPIs and customers
CRM Management - Recording all information to keep customer, contract and broker information up to date, including providing reports and forecasts to the Channel Sales Manager.
Testing & Development – Complete acceptance testing on system developments
Key Requirements:
Knowledge of the Australian (NEM) energy industry, understandings of the energy markets, particularly electricity is an advantage but not essential.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience required .
Preferable familiarity with energy supplier operations, C&I consumer needs and wants of energy supply contracts and energy services.
Excelling at Sales and Customer Service within a working environment
Managing brokers and customers in the Commercial & Industrial energy market in the NEM Australia
Working in a pressurized and fast paced technical sales environment
Ideally educated to graduate level with minimum high school certificate
Demonstrable experience of the use of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
High standard of written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
